St. Johns County’s top rated schools continue to be a draw for families moving to the area. So much so that the counties school-age population is growing so rapidly that there is a need to expand several existing schools and even build a new facility.
This year Mill Creek and Hickory Creek Elementary will start construction on their expansion that is expected to be completed within 12 to 15 months. The work on Hartley and Osceola Elementary Schools will begin next year.
A new school in Palencia, serving Mill Creek area, Palencia, U.S. 1 North corridor, could begin as early as next fall and be completed within 3 years.
St. Johns County Schools are rated #1 in the State of Florida. Combine this with the breezy beaches, boating and fishing the St. Johns River and Intracoastal Waterway and the charm of the Nation’s oldest City, it’s no wonder families choose to live here.
