365 Things To Do In Austin, Texas: Alamo Drafthouse

I thought we could all go for an relatively relaxing evening with tomorrow being a day full of Austin fun - Eeyore's Birthday, Lonestar Jam, Dragon Boat races just to name a few of the things happening around town tomorrow.

I have been wanting to blog on Alamo Drafthouse and today seemed like the perfect day, as tonight is the premiere of a documentary, Best Worst Movie. This film premiered at SXSW and received an incredible response and following. It is a documentary of basically the worst movie in the history of cinema - Troll 2, I have not seen it as it is on a long laundry list of movies I haven't seen. After a little research apparently it really is one of the worst movies in movie history.

I thought that this would be a great time to feature the Alamo Drafthouse because the film has heavy Austin and Alamo Drafthouse connections. A documentary that has Alamo Drafthouse ties seems like the perfect film to actually see at the Drafthouse.

This is very exciting because it is opening here in Austin and not in a more traditional city like Los Angelos or New York.

Even if you do not choose see this documentary that embodies all things Austin - a trip to the Alamo Drafthouse is always a good time. I love the serving food and alcohol in the movie theater, it's a great combination.

They have several locations all over Austin. The Best Worst Movie Documentary will be playing at the South Lamar location.

Location:
1120 South Lamar Boulevard
Austin, Texas
