Old School Values in a High Tech Forum

By
Real Estate Agent with Integrity Real Estate

I often talk about the importance of Active Rain to the title professionals that I meet in my travels.  I'm particularly interested in attracting seasoned veterans of the title industry to this site.  They have a great deal to offer by way of perspective and practical experience.  Title people tend to be a little standoffish in their approach to marketing and often avoid opportunities to bring attention to themselves.  I've managed to convince a couple of my new friends to at least create profiles, but convincing them to contribute posts has been another matter entirely.

Meet Fran Gaspari

I met Fran Gaspari at a presentation that I did in P.A. sometime in April.  I recognized that Fran is exactly the type of title guy that we need on Active Rain.  He's not only personable, but very knowledgeable about the industry and it's practices.  Fran's been in the business for many years and espouses the "old school" values that I believe are desperately needed in residential transactions.   The new generation of title professional places entirely too much emphasis on the hour spent at closing and tends to underplay the all important title examination.  The closing is not a title company's work product.  Title companies have a public mandate to provide litigation free homeownership.  An experienced title person can reasonably guarantee that your buyer's property rights won't be challenged.  Fran is one such professional and we're fortunate to have him around to share his knowledge and answer questions.

You've possibly encountered some of Fran's spirited comments over the past several days.  His tone is direct and concerned.  Most importantly, the man is honest.  I'm very happy to say that Fran has written a prolific number of posts in his very short tenure in the Rain.  We need more contributers like Fran Gaspari on this site.  We need more people like Fran in our industry.

Join me in welcoming Fran to Active Rain

I ask that you join with me in welcoming this seasoned professional to our community by visiting his blog and leaving a friendly comment.  I want him to know that he's appreciated because we'll all benefit from his contributions in time.

Don't be afraid to approach Fran with any title issues that you're encountering in your own deals.  He'll know the answer.

Ed, Sorry for being late again. I think I need a short course on how to navigate through this AR site. Thanks for your kind words. I also want you to know that I perused your profile again. You may have been deprived of your license, but nobody can take away your "professional legitimacy". The truth torch is easy to carry. Thanks for all you do for our title industry.   Fran
