My husband's grandfather, Max Kruschka, opened his florist shop in 1894 in Asbury Park, NJ. As was typical of the time he owned greenhouses and grew his own plants and flowers. The photo below shows that 116 years later a Kruschka florist shop still operates in Neptune, NJ - just a few miles away from the original location
However, most retail florists have adapted and no longer own their own greenhouses - it is less expensive to purchase their merchandise from wholesalers.
Arthur and I entered the real estate business in 1976. The Karen Kruschka Real Estate Team will begin its' 35th year as REALTORS® in July of this year. In the beginning we listed and sold homes even though we had no cell phones, fax machines, web sites or email and wrote one page real estate contracts on NCR paper.
Has The Karen Kruschka Real Estate Team adapted to the many changes in the real estate business? You bet we have - it's a "Kruschka Thing". Our real estate tool box includes
- Four websites with our own domain names
- Regular blogging on two real estate blog sites.
- Linked in presences
- Two Facebook Pages
- Twitter site
- The production of online slideshows for both listings and subdivisions.
- Kruschka produced in-depth online profiles for more than 50 subdivisions in our operating area
- Regularly updated online market reports prepared for each of the subdivisions served by the Karen Kruschka Real Estate Team
- Real Estate contracts and documents produced and maintained online
