If you are a fan of Donald Ross designed golf courses, you need to try the Scotch Meadows Country Club golf course in beautiful, Laurinburg, NC. The 18 hole private membership club recently started letting the public play on Mondays and Thursdays so now's your chance to play it! The green fees and cart fees are extremely reasonable and it will require that you play all of the clubs in your bag and all of the shots that you know. You'll really love putting on their beautiful greens with plenty of challenging reads.
Besides beautiful landscaping, what you will discover when you play at Scotch Meadows Country Club are perfect bent greens, few water hazards, numerous sand traps around the greens, mostly flat terrain with some hills and well-maintained irrigated hybrid bermuda fairways. If you are retired and looking for more challenging courses to test your abilities, you'll like this one. You'll usually get a good roll too so you'll be chipping to get on the mostly elevated greens in regulation after those big drives!

Scotch Meadows Country Club is a great deal for membership for residences of Laurinburg for very reasonable monthly dues that also includes a huge swimming pool, 2 tennis courts, pro shop and a traditional-looking country club house that overlooks the 18th green, #1 tee box and #10 tee box. Scotch Meadows would be a great home course and then you can venture a few miles to Pinehurst or Myrtle Beach when the tourists aren't too bad to play some of those courses during the week when those courses are not too crowded.
