San Antonio/Boerne Neighborhoods - Estancia

If Walt Disney had been a Texan, perhaps he would have built Estancia.   Estancia is a development just three miles west of Boerne.  It was developed by Tom Cusick, a former businessman with a vision of a playground for adults and kids alike.  It is 1000 acres of prime hill country property.  There is a covered equestrian facility that could also be used for roping.  The indoor gymnasium is equipped for volleyball and basketball. Mom can keep an eye on the kids while working out from the second story or doing Pilates in the workout facility. The Arena Cantina would be a great place to watch the Spurs with neighbors or host a small party.  There are over 8 miles in the neighborhood for biking, hiking, or jogging.  If it is junior's birthday, you may want to have the party at the four-acre lake.  You can send the boys to fish for catfish while dad grills the burgers at the Lakeside pavilion.  After the fishing tournament, send the whole group over to football/soccer field before sending them home.  Teens will love the sand pit volleyball and horseback riding in wide open spaces. There is also a sport court for tennis, basketball and volleyball. There are stables and a poker room. Did I mention the skeet deck and par 3 golf course? What else could anyone want?  Even Walt himself would be impressed with the pristine ponds, waterfalls and hillside creeks.

The community is five minutes from downtown Boerne and only twenty minutes to shopping at La Cantera and the Rim. There are 76 lots ranging in size from 3 to 25 acres.  Lot prices vary. There are level lots and hillside lots. Some have fabulous views, and some of them remind me of a meadow in Colorado.   The minimum square footage is 3,000 square feet for a one story and 3, 200 square feet for a two story.  Home prices start at around a million.

Forget the crowds at Disneyland - I want to live in Estancia!
