RainCamp Los Angeles 2010 After Action Report (Video)
Check out Ted's video... Way cool!
My ActiveRain account is just a little more that two years old. I unknowingly took the Gary Vaynerchuck approach over the last few years, where I stay up too late learning and blogging till my I can't stay awake any longer. While ActiveRain, Twitter, the RE.net community, REBarcamp, 4Realz (Dustin Luther) and many other sources helped me cut the learning curve, there is always more to learn.
I am the penultimate skeptic of any self proclaimed guru on web 2.0, social media and SEO, so I am in no way a conference junkie. If I am signed up and going, then I have done some pretty heavy research, ferreted out any discount possible and I am ready to absorb (as Raphael Geurin says) as much as I can. There is something to be said for repetition and even if it looks like a review. Always something new to pick up from a presentation or information to refine strategies I am implementing - as those refinements become clearer because I can compare to with others. This ability to compare and collaborate at venues like RainCamp is where I believe the big value comes in. Where else in the Real Estate industry can you sit down with your peers and exchange successes and failures openly and freely?
