As school in Lake Havasu City gets out this summer, camps, camps and more camps will be starting their registration process. So, it's time to start thinking about registering your child for Summer Camp in Lake Havasu City. I've compiled a list of all the summer camps in the area and all their information.
Camp Iwannago: June 7 - July 15 - Open to campers who will be entering the 5th, 6th, and 7th grades when school begins (up to 13 years of age). Camp Iwannago will be held at Thunderbolt Middle School. Registration for this camp is $175 per child. Discounts for families are given, so each additional child in the family is only $131. Campers will engage in several activities that are age appropriate. There will be a new "Explore It" educational opportunity and day trip to Sunsplash Water Park in Mesa, AZ. Space will be limited, so it is advised to register early.
Learn to Swim: June 7 - June 18, June 28 - July 9, July 19 - July 31 - This Red Cross Certified swim program offers each child 6 months and up various swim levels, depending on ability. The registration fee is $35. For more information, contact the Aquatic Center at 453-8686.
Sunshine Kids Day Camp: June 1 - July 16 - This camp is open to all campers entering kindergarten through 4th grade and who have already turned five years old before they register. Sunshine Camp is held at Jamacia, Smoketree and Havasupai Elementary Schools. The camp provides a variety of activities, swimming, field trips, bowling, water days, park days, parties, movies, and more. Some additional costs may occur. Registration fees are $175 per child and $131 for each additional family member. Space will be limited, so it is advised that you register early.
You can register for any of the above camps at the Aquatic Center Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm & Saturday and Sunday, 12:00pm through 4:00pm. For more information on any of the camps, please call 453-8686.
