17 Comments on Timing Is Everything
Everyone says, recites, mumbles when asked 3 most important things in real estate location X's three. But the timing, timing, timing trumps, controls the actual chain of events. They may like, love, jaw drop over the real estate's location but are they in a position, is the timing right to buy credit wise, other house sale wise. Great snap shot of the snapper turtle.
Andrew good points. And that is no snapper ... I'd be to whimpy to pick him up if so. He was a ... slider? I don't know, but he was a big one.
Looks like a Gopher or Box Turtle; maybe he's a lucky turtle that you came along :)
You do realize that will be the last time you see him
3rd times the charm and he's moving up and out
good size one too
enjoy the day
Steve:
He's lucky you came along...again. Timing IS everything in so many ways. I'd have done the same, provided it wasn't a snapper.
Jeff
Toni - I think we were both lucky :)
Don - If I see him again I think I better keep him!
Jeff - Yup. I saved a snapper the other day ... but he was about 1/4 the size, and I admit I didn't know he was a snapper at the time until I was holding him and saw that hook of his mouth.
Steve, glad that you were there to save him. Great post, it is about timing in life!
Be careful, Steve ... a friend of mine rescued a turtle that was in the middle of the road and it expressed its gratitude by peeing on his feet! Like you, he rescued it a second time a couple of weeks later but, this time, he pointed the business end away from his feet. LOL!
Steve - Awesome ! Glad you were able to save him !!! Great photo : )
Wonderful photo and I'm so glad you saved him again!
Glenda - Ask my wife about the "instant puddle" right before I picked this guy up. It was pretty funny.
Very cool that you took the time to do that. Not many people will. I stopped a few times myself. The first time I was really nervous because the turtle kept launching its head towards me.... even when i was behind him (or her). Anyway, it took me a few minutes to just pick him up. He was very calm once I had him, but didnt want me touching him at first. Now I just grab them and go. Depending on where we are, I may put them in the back of the car and completely relocate them to a near lake or quiet neighborhood.
... my Hero !!!!
the turtle's cool
but
"working really hard to get to the wrong place"
now there's something to think about!
We haven't seen him since ... hopefully he is leading a productive life in the pond there :)
Steve that is one lucky turtle. I didn't know turtles also had 9 lives.
