First of all, I am not a web designer. If you need a very qualified, creative designer, then I recommend Anna Baron of The Virtual Link.
But, I do assist most of my clients with web site content, adding listings to the sites, and building up the SEO among other things, so if you have a template website through Advanced Access, Number1Experts, Homes.com, Point2Agent, RealPro Systems or anyone else, then this is where I would assist you.
The search engines are constantly changing their requirements so it is imperative to stay on top of what is going on.
But, you really need to focus on the market and what the market has to offer and not on you! When a visitor comes to your website they are not interested in you, just yet. They are looking for information on the area, such as schools, pricing, availability, etc. So, you need to make sure that you provide as much information as you possibly can. Here is a great site I built for my sister-in-law. www.TexarkanaHomes4U.com. Now, Connie is does not have time to focus on the Internet, so she asked me to help her gain the Internet edge of her market and being from Texarakana I had a pretty good time creating this site. It is full of content, resources and listings. She opted to give up adding her listings to her site and just link directly to the IDX, which was smart on her part since she usually has 20 + listings.
Just remember, when creating a website, don't go on about yourself, but give the visitor what they want and more. You can brag on your About Me page. :D
