When opportunity presents itself, it is too late for preparation. I see and so many story of the agent that gets the "come list me" call, and they do not have their listing presentation completed. I see so many agents that just in a contract to a lender since they do not have a presentation prepared in advance to help get the transaction approved. Or agents that get asked what they do and they respond "I'm in Real Estate", thinking that will spark an emotion in the consumers mind.
Opportunity exists everywhere... From the average people thinking of selling and buying, to the connections on social media, the homes in your farm, to the networking events that you attend...
So here are a few questions to ask yourself...
Is your listing presentation completed?
Is your buyer's presentation completed?
Have you memorized, internalized and customized the scripts necessary to create business?
Is your database up and running? (Not MS Outlook, but a real CRM).
Does your database allow for email, snail mail, mailers, calls, etc?
Have you set up your website?
Do you have your open house signs with YOUR phone number on them?
Do you have your "for sale" signs with your name and number on them?
Have you created fan pages (stealth and RE business related)?
Do you have your linked in profile, plaxo profile, facebook profile and any others fully created and looking good?
These are just a few... What would you add to this list? Don't let opportunity pass you by, be as prepared as you possibly can!
