With all of the cool shows on television these days on channels like HGTV and DIY, it provides many resources on how homes are to be staged. The gist of most shows go something like this; sellers hire a home stager because they're property has been on the market too long. At the end of the show, the homes normally sell within weeks.
Recently showing clients many homes, I've developed an eye for well staged homes. They are very far and between! Home owners and agents, clear the clutter, re-arrange the furniture and clean up the yard. Clean and minimal is the rule of thumb. Make the home look spacious! Let some light in!
It's a 'proven technique' and your home will more than likely get more traffic.
