Just for Today
I saw this post this morning, and it touched me. It manages to convey in a manner better than I could say, what I have felt to be my "purpose". Whether we choose to have a "good" day or not to have a "good" day is up to us, and regardless of our choice, we will be right...
If I may add that I having been trying to pay particular attention of late to "appreciate" those near me, that I have tended to take for granted... my wife, my son, my mother-in-law, my parents, support staff at work, and those that I engage on a daily basis in the course of my life...
Just for Today is a commitment to form a daily habit by appreciating and approaching each day for what it holds
- Just for today, I am committed to making someone else's life better
- Just for today, I am accepting each challenge head on and with tack, dignity and grace
- Just for today, I will make a concerted effort to push my business forward
- Just for today, I will make contacts (even if only one) that I can add to my Sphere of Influence
- Just for today, I will take full responsibility for my actions as well as my inaction
- Just for today, I vow to honor those around me
- Just for today, I know that without God in my life, I would not have lived to see this day
- Just for today, I recognize that my duty is to serve not only God, but others as well
This is not an exhaustive list by any means, but if each day, I committ to these just for today, my life and the life of others will be greatly enhanced.
