Daytona Beach Shores is a home to quite a few condos in the area. Largest group of condos here is The Oceans. The Oceans are right across from the City Hall, Publix Plaza and Walgreens Pharmacy and continue up North to Tuscany Shores condominium.
The Oceans feel like a small town with some city living comfort and flavor - a very friendly small beachfront city.
Older Oceans buildings go from Oceans One to Oceans Ten, for some reason missing Oceans Nine, - all by one developer, Bellemead Corp.
In addition to the original nine Oceans which are all direct oceanfront buildings, there are also two twelve-story Oceans Atrium and Oceans Atrium One, and there are two newer 21-story condo towers at 1 Oceans West Blvd., which are surrounded by executive 9-hole Golf Course, set between the Intracoastal and the A1A (Atlantic Avenue). The latest addition to the Oceans is Oceans Grand - a 187 unit 21-story condominium completed in 2006.
Majority of them have completed concrete restoration, replacing rusted balconies, some have replaced elevators, and some are in the process of doing it. Rental restrictions differ and you should not be surprised that the minimum can be 3 months. Yes, you can rent it, but renting 4 times a year will hardly make you rich.
There are two more buildings further North: 7-story Cloverleaf South and Cloverleaf North named for the four wing design with circular garage in the middle. You can park on your floor and this way you do not have to deal with carts in elevators.
There are quite a few other condos in Daytona Beach Shores built by other developers. Some are more luxurious and are nicer than any of the Oceans, but The Ocean still define the face of this beachside small city of Daytona Beach Shores.
