Nestled in the scenic San Fernando Valley, just 25 miles from Downtown Los Angeles, Granada Hills feels far away from the hustle and bustle. Known for years as “The Valley’s Most Neighborly Town,” Granada Hills has a population of about 60,000. It features great schools, a low crime rate, the best of Southern California’s lifestyle and weather. Granada Hills’ location, 1,000 feet above sea level, also makes it one of the few smog-free and virtually frost-free communities in this area. Real estate options consist of single-family homes, condominiums and townhouses as well as land lots for custom building. Granada Hills has evolved from a farming and ranching community into a thriving suburb. Vestiges of former citrus groves can still be seen as small groups of orange, lemon or grapefruit trees in some residential yards. Scenic O'Melveny Park, immediately adjacent to the more rustic Limekiln Canyon Park, has several dozen citrus trees, a small intermittent stream and a grassy promontory with a view of the northeastern portion of the San Fernando Valley. Granada Hills is conveniently located to the Los Angeles Metro Area as it straddles Highway 118 and is just west of the 405 Freeway. You are just a short drive from the museums, culture and professional sports that LA has to offer, not to mention proximity to world-famous destinations like Beverly Hills, Disneyland and Santa Monica.
