North Las Vegas Community Update -- Madera

This week's feature is on a community in North Las Vegas called Madera. It is located in the 89031 zip code and is close to Sandstone Ridge Park and numerous shopping centers.

Currently there are 5 homes listed for sale and 8 homes are under contract to close very soon. Current sales prices range from a low of $85,000 to a high of $225,000 at the moment. In June there was 1 closing in the neighborhood. That brings houses closed in the community to 13 for the first 6 months of the year so far.

Is it true that the homeowners of Madera in 89031 filed a class action law-suite against the builder for foundation defects?

There has been a construction defect lawsuit filed on the plumbing(Kitec) and many homes have been replumbed to date in the community.  There is also a general construction defect lawsuit that was filed, but they are in the investigation stages to my knowledge. 68 homeowners signed up to have their homes checked out so far to my knowledge.
