A History of Trains in DeQuincy, Louisiana

There is also a 1913 steam locomotive, 2 cabooses and a 1947 passenger coach on site.

Adjacent to the DeQuincy Train Museum is the DeQuincy City Park.  During the school year the DeQuincy Train Museum is a popular destination for field trips.  Trains and a  nice park with playground equipment is a winning combination for the City of DeQuincy!

I love old train depots.  Looks like this town has done a great job of preserving history.

It's nice to see that they've preserved some early 20th century history. Here in Las Vegas, the pattern has been to implode and rebuild even bigger.

I have a friend here in Kansas City who is bonkers for trains. I'll have to tell him about the DeQuincy Train Museum in Lousiana!

I am trying to find out some information about the old KCS Depot that was in Starks, La many years ago. If you have any info on the web, pictures, stories, etc. I am trying to collect the history for The Starks Historical Society.

Thank you
