DocuSign Secures U.S. Senate Resolution Designating June 30 as “National ESIGN Day”

Today, the United States Senate passed a resolution (S. Res. 576) at our request, designating June 30, 2010 – the date of the historic 10th anniversary of the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN) – as “National ESIGN Day 2010.” The resolution was the result of an effort spearheaded by DocuSign, leading provider of the most trusted cloud computing electronic signature platform, as a means to acknowledge the vital role of e-signatures in the development and continued growth of interstate and foreign commerce, and commemorate the ESIGN Act, which was signed by President Bill Clinton on June 30, 2000. The United States House of Representatives is anticipated to vote on similar legislation, which is being led by U.S. Congressman Jim McDermott (D-WA), this week.
