Good news! Florida's Back-to-School Sales Tax "Holiday" is back. The tax break failed to pass the Legislature the last two years due to budget deficits. The state still faces serious budget deficits. As a result, this year's holiday will only be three days, August 13 - 15, 2010. Books, clothing, footwear, wallets and book bags costing less than $50 and school supplies priced at less than $10 will be tax-free during the tax free holiday. Palm Beach County students will return to school on August 17, 2010. The sales tax holiday expects to save Florida families $26 million and provide a much-needed boost to our economy.
