Did you know that you don't have to put up with a small photo on the top LEFT of your Facebook page?

All the big boys and smart marketing firms know a Facebook secret.

A new book is coming out in January on Facebook How To Marketing. But I'm going to share with you several secrets you can use right now for your own Facebook page.

Below are two ones I just created for two new clients.

Don't these look MUCH better than a itsy, bitsy photo? And this looks professional, too. Problem is, nobody seems to know about this. So I put together a nice YouTube Video how to do this.

Good stuff Bart, but people must remember that you need to be uploading these larger Avatars onto your business page and not into your profile as it is against their TOS to do commercial stuff on a personal profile.

Another tip that I would sugges is to also pay attention to what the thumbnail is that is created on your page for wall updates etc... I see many that create these & end up with part of a phone number being their thumbnail image.

Bart, does it have to be Photoshop? Does it have to be exactly 200x600?

I created a banner with Microsoft Publisher and Paint programs, and saved as both PNG and JPG, but the closest I could get in size was 190 x 586..when I went to upload it told me the size was either too tall or too skinny..I'm guessing the file size may have had something to do with it, 49.7 KB. However it loses quality if I go down less than that. Any suggestions?

Photoshop is the standard photo editing software package out there. But no -- it does *not* have to be Photoshop. There are other programs out there that do an okay job on photo editing.

But YES, please follow the size format. It will make your Facebook page stand out better.

So please follow the size rule: 600 X 200.
