Water Main Work in Haverford Township
As part of its continuing infrastructure improvement program, Aqua Pennsylvania will install a new water main on the following streets in Haverford Township:
•· West Chester Pike between both intersections with Westwood Park Drive.
•· Westwood Park Drive between both intersections with West Chester Pike.
•· Willowbrook Road and Greenview Lane between intersections with Westwood Park Drive.
•· Greenview Lane between Westwood Park Drive and Township Line Road.
•· Bryan Street between Steel Road and Township Line Road.
•· Steel Road between Greenview Lane and West Chester Pike.
•· Olympic Avenue between Greenview Lane and a point 200 feet east of Joanna Road.
•· Richland Avenue between Steel Road and a point 250 feet south of Gilmore Road.
•· Milard Lane between Richland Avenue and Olympic Avenue.
•· Gilmore Road between Richland Avenue and West Chester Pike
•· Prospect Road between Gilmore Road and Joanna Road.
•· Joanna Road between Prospect Road and Olympic Avenue.
The project is scheduled to begin next week. Water main installation is expected to be finished by December, and paving restoration will be complete in the spring.
Work hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. The roadway will be closed in the construction area. Access will be provided for local businesses, mail, emergency, and trash service. Residents will have access to their properties.
Residents should avoid traveling through the construction zone when possible. Temporary "No Parking" signs will be posted in the construction area during working hours. Aqua America will notify residents 24 hours in advance of a scheduled shutdown. If an emergency shutdown should occur, Aqua America will restore service as soon as possible.
