The Passing of a Friend

I attended a memorial of a friend on Sunday. It was very much like a family get together or high school reunion.  The amount of people that were there that I had not seen in 10 or more years was phenomenal.  It was good to see everyone again, to see where they were at and where they are going.  The memorial itself was beautiful and there was not a dry eye in the house.  Thank goodness for the guy that always has and always will provide the peanut gallery style comic relief.  You know the one I speak of!   The memories that were talked of and the sharing of my friend's life was happy and sad at the same time.  It was her birthday the day she chose for her party before she passed on.  I felt that she had gone to a good place as she was a wonderful person and it made me realize how important spending your life in a good and healthy manner is.

It makes you think of  your own mortality and I know that change is a long slow process.  My point is ... Live a good life (what goes around comes around), Love when you can (be blessed and revel in love when you have it) and take care of your family and friends they are all you have to remember you when you are gone.

I am a true believer of "what comes around goes around" also.  Sorry to hear about your friend-yes it does make us think of our own lives, family and friends.  I was taught growing up that death is not the end-just the beginning-but it still leaves an emptiness in the heart.

Sondy, Isn't it sad though that we have to lose a friend to all get together? We keep saying what a small world we live in but years can pass so quickly without being in touch. I am sorry about your loss. Debra A Brooks

Sounds like it was a celebration of life.  You had a wonderful friend who you were blessed to have known while she was here.
