An AR Sale over the Weekend.

Real Estate Agent with Aspen Properties, Inc. BR511793000

At first I didn't even realize that the people I had been working with for the last year were Activerain referrals.  For some reason I had it in my head that they were Craigslist buyers.  But no, when I was working up the Broker's file today I notice that they had contacted me almost a year ago off a listing I had posted on AR.  Hurray, another testimonial that AR does work.

I have been listening to a lot of agents moaning and groaning that they aren't getting any business.  When I ask them if they have a website or if they are on the Social Networks, they say no.  I truly don't know how an Agent can survive in this market without an online presence.  It is a lot of work to set up a website.  It take time and energy to write a blog post or send out a new listing on all the sites but IT WORKS, as all of you on AR know.

It has really picked up here in the past couple of weeks.  Lots of late summer buyers out looking for those late summer "buys".  It is great to see some business being transacted again, it has been so sluggish all summer.

Hope your late summer and early fall markets are doing well too.

Until next time.

It is a great feeling to get a client from AR or any other Internet lead source. I know I have gotten several clients from AR: a couple sellers and even people looking for rentals.

Most of my business is coming from the internet now.  Referrals are wonderful but not everyone knows someone who wants to buy or sell.  I don't think I could function without the internet leads any more.  Business isn't walking in the door for sure, you have to go out and shake the bushes until something falls out.

I love hearing stories like this.  As a new agent, I'm working very hard to get my online presence up and running correctly.  I'm hoping that it will pay off in the end!

I questioned Active Rain a bit there a few months back. I have had a few clients find me on ActiveRain. So yes, spend some time on ActiveRain and it pays off through on line search engines.

Good luck to you and all out there Sandra!
