Anyone who knows me knows that I love to eat good food! And the number of good restaurants in Friendswood is abundant! On of my favorites list is LUNA'S MEXICAN RESTAURANT. The atmosphere there is great and the art is interesting.
The outside patio garden has a variety of plants that punctuates a Mexican atmosphere. You can relax on a cool night and eat and drink to your hearts delight.
I think my favorite thing there are the homemade flour tortillas. I know how to make tortillas but they got me beat hands down! You can actually watch the woman who makes them by hand; as she works in a glass room made especially for customers to watch the entire process. I always give her thumbs up when I am on my way out. She always smiles in appreciation. I think I will send her a Christmas card....
While all the food there is just too awesome to describe...I usually order the Pechuga a La Parilla; which is a grilled chicken breast with veggies and lots of Mexican white cheese melted over the chicken.
This restaurant is located just west of Sunset Blvd. at 704 West Parkwood Ave. Restaurant hours are Open Mon-Wed, Sun 11am-10pm; Thu 10am-10pm; Fri-Sat 11am-11pm.
