Yard sale season kicks into full gear.  What treasure will you find?

As the weather cools down and the kids are back in school, yard sale signs are popping up on every corner.  From now, through October, yard sales will be popping up like weeds.

Are you one of those people that just can't pass one up?  Perhaps you go out looking for something specific, that you could save some money on.  Or maybe you are going out looking for that treasure you can retire on.

I know when I have a yard sale, it's a lot of work and I have to be up at the crack of dawn.  I'm usually kind of grumpy and need several cups of coffee to get me in the right mood.  I open my garage door early to get set up and sure enough someone is sitting in their car waiting for me, even though my signs say I don't start for another hour.  They are hoping to find that treasure.  maybe a piece of antique furniture, maybe some gold jewelry, maybe that original Picasso, I thought my neighbor painted.

If any of you watch Antiques Road Show on PBS, you know that most people did in fact find their treasures at yard sales.  So, you never know.

Head on out early tomorrow.  Fill your travel mug with coffee and have some fun.  Who knows what you will find.

I am not a picker, but my wife stops to snoop when she thinks she spots something. As they same one person's trash is some else's treasure. Have fun.

Love yard sales. Not that I need more stuff, but I always manage to find something for one of my kids or grandkids that they treasure.
