Possibly a sign of changing times?

One of my local mortgage specialists e-mailed me with some positive news today.  Over the last few weeks, she has had five homes appraise above estimated value.  This means that other homes in the area are selling at fair market value.  Hopefully, all of the foreclosures are not dragging down values any longer.  In our area, we did not have quite the drop in prices other areas of the country and even North Carolina have seen.  so, is this a sign of changing times or just a small blip on the radar?  Only time will tell, but for now, it's good news.

Jeff,

Everything in life is cyclical. What is high will be low again and what is low will be high at some point. You are correct that time will tell if this is a blip or not. But it is a bright spot for today. Another bright spot is my blog post of the chuckle of the day.

Hi Jeff - thanks for commenting on my blog. Appraisal values on the rise is definitely good news! I hope that trend moves over to the Atlanta market.
