Loveland & McWhinney- In Marriage, Both Must Sacrifice

Today, in the local Paper (Loveland Reporter Herald) on the front page the headline reads "City Wants A Grand Project". As a more than casual observer of the goings on in Loveland, I am pleased to see that the city is finally seeing things my way. I mean McWhinney's way. City officials and the public have had an opportunity to study the proposal made by McWhinney Enterprises and the benefits of creating this grand scale project. In my opinion, the lack of acurrate information, speculation and rumor has given the project a bad rap.

Grand Station will set Loveland and Northern Colorado apart from other parts of the country. How? Digressing for a moment...... I was in California on vacation this past week. We visited with friends and family, went to the beach, shopped, ate like Kings, etc. My wife and I love Fashion Island (a shopping mall near the beach) and met with friends for dinner at a new grand scale shopping center in Tustin called The District. Wow! Between those two mega projects, you can eat, shop, stroll, hang out with the kids, be entertained and oh by the way, the cities where these two projects reside are HUGE beneficiaries in the form of tax revenue.

To benefit, one must sacrifice and be flexible enough to realize the opportunities, much like marriage. Hopefully, the city, the citizens and the McWhinney's will see eye to eye and get this thing going. We need this project to put us on the map thus bringing jobs, people buying homes and paying for more community infrastructure (via tax revenues).
