So They Tell Me The Recession Is Over???

Apparently it ended a year ago, but all the folks out of work and without a home missed the memo.  I am sure that I just probably don't understand the numbers.

Millions of people are out of work, most of whom have lost their homes, as well.  Yete, last week Macy's/Bloomingdales announced that they will hire 65,000 people for the holidays.  And, yesterday, Toys R Us announced they will follow suit and double there staff nationwide.

This is GREAT!  Well, for the folks out of work, because perhaps some will land these jobs.  Problem I see?  Who is gonna buy all the merchandise this additional workforce is out to sell?  Did Mother Nature swoop in and plant MONEY TREES and left me out?  Hmmmm

Well, I sure hope it works.  This recession has been a deep one, and it would be awfully nice to see the economy spring back.

Jean -and those jobs will be factored into the seasonally adjusted unemployment figures ..... and the news is that those people who get those jobs will likely be back out of work when the season is over

Well, coming out of a recession is a very slow process.

We don't just wake up one morning with everything fixed.

We are seeing the slow signs of recovery.
