Baseball playoffs are set.

American League:

The Yankees win the Wild Card and will begin play at Minnesota, winners in the American League Central.

Tampa Bay wins the National League East and hosts Texas, American League West winner.

National League:

The Phillies have the best record in the National League and will host Cincinnatti, winner of the National League Central.

The Giants win the West with the wild card winning Braves starting play in San Francisco.

New teams in the playoffs this year include the Giants, Red, Rangers and Braves. Tampa missed out last year but won the American League East two years ago.

Braves return to the playoffs to postpone Bobby Cox's retirement - great story if they win the World Series.

Rangers and Reds have not been to the playoffs this century (ok, since 1999 for the Rangers and 1995 for the Reds).

Who do you think will win the World Series and who do you want to win the World Series?

Hi Michael,

Some new blood (Rangers, Reds, Giants) and potential Holllywood ending with the Braves winning the Series as Bobby Cox retires. Atlanta is probably the weakest team in the playoffs but any team can get hot for 11 games.

The TV eexcs would hate it but I would like to see Rangers vs Braves for the Series - gimme the Hollywood ending for Bobby Cox. Realistically, it will be the Yankees vs Phillies, with the Phillies wining it all.

Hi Jim,

I agree - anyone but the Yankess. My youngest son likes the Giants - he is proudly wearing his Giants hat everywhere.

Molina is going to get a ring no matter which team wins the series. He played approximately 60 games for each team this season.
