For home buyers it is important to know what you can afford and what you need in a home. To find out how much you can afford, get preapproved (NOT prequalified!) for a home mortgage. If you have a mortgage lender already, great. If not, I can recommend several for you to choose from. Email me with a request and I will send you a list.
To find out what you need or want in a home, make two lists. These will work as guidelines for your final decision. The first list is what you absolutely need-the number of bedrooms that you need, as a minimum; the number of bathrooms you will need, again the minimum. Do you need a garage, or will a carport do?
The second list I call a wish list. This is the list of what you would like to have but do not necessarily have to have. A bathroom off the master bedroom, for example. A deck with a gas hook up for the BBQ. A garden shed or shop. This list will include all the things that would make up your dream home.
Once you know how much home you can afford (by being preapproved), and what you need and would like in a home (by making your lists), send me your lists and we can get started in searching for just the right home for you.
