Wireless Frustrations

All day, I've been working and working at my desk and getting more and more frustrated. My keyboard isn't working...

I have a wireless keyboard, so I decide to let the batteries charge for a couple of hours and type on my laptop keyboard. The batteries say "full" as I used the express charge. Put them back in, and typing is still erratic.  More frustrations. I type a letter and it appears when it wants. Sometimes I type a letter and it appears 10 times.

What the heck is going on? I decided a little bit ago that I was going to have to buy a new keyboard as I assumed the keys just went bad and even though it's only a year old, it was time for a new one...

Then, out of the corner of my eye, what do I see? It was actually what I didn't see. I didn't see those two little green lights looking at me. The green lights that symbolize the connection to the wireless keyboard and mouse.  I found the green lights buried under a couple of post-it notes a few minutes ago, and viola, I can type again!!

Why can't the wireless signal go through paper? That's ridiculous!!

Ahhh, the blessings and frustrations of technology. I don't get upset when my wireless mouse runs its batteries down. I have more just inches away in a drawer. But I really hate it when the batteries in the remote for my flat screen, entertainment system, channel changer go out! And some wireless has a hard time going through some paper because it is very low power.

OK, now that is just too funny!  We can send radio and TV signals between the earth and the space station, but we can't have a signal on a wireless keyboard strong enough to go through a couple of pieces of paper?!?

Donna, this reminds me of the last time I went to the realtor-preview open houses in Downtown Vancouver wondering why they were all closed, only to realize I was a day early!  It was my calendar that was stupid, nope, not at all.  That was a humbling moment I tell ya.

PS. Today, our phones were down at the office, turns out it was just a simple switch.  O dear!  Cheers, Jark.

Donna

It's either a real estate miracle or removing the post a note.

Good luck and success.

I'm so happy that others have gremlins in their computers as well. We keep adding more technology and then wonder when more things go wrong. For whatever reason.
