There was a drop in sales for the real estate market of Danville in September, from 41 closed home sales in August down to 38 in September. The average selling price went up from August to September, from $805,000 to $849,000, while the average price per square foot went down from $339 to $331.
The closed home sales stay on the market was longer in September, with an average of 50 days, compared to only 45 last August. The homes were sold for 97.7% of the original asking price, a slight increase from August’s 97.2%. 10 homes, or 26% of all the closed home sales, were sold for more than $1 million. It is closely similar to July’s figure of 32% and 12% more than August’s. Of all the closed sales, 24% were distressed properties, an increase from August’s 20%.
The real estate market of the West Side of Danville, as well as Magee Ranch, Cimarron Hills, and Crow Canyon Country Club, saw significant increase in sales for September.
