City of Tracy - we're Changing for the better?
I live in Tracy and I work in Mountain House and Tracy.
Seeing Macy's come to town is awesome. Hopefully it will revive the mall.
Black Bear Diner will open soon.
How exciting are all these changes for the City of Tracy and the Community of Mountain House.
City of Tracy - we're changing for the better.....
in this crazy economy the City of Tracy is stepping up their game. 18 months ago Gottschalks closed... now 18 months later MACY's has come to town. For women in Tracy, CA who have communted "over the hill" to shop at Macy's mecca has come to town.
The Grand Opening was last week and from the looks of it all women in Tracy were at the store. The shoe department is awesome. The only complaint I heard is that there is no MAC counter, so Macy's fixed that by having a petition that can be signed by women everywhere asking MAC to open a cosmetic counter inside OUR MACY's.
THEN....
An old establishment has closed it's doors for the last time. The Bacchetti family owned the Orchard Restaraunt on Grantline and 205 for generations. Due to changes in eating habits, Chevy's, Applebees, Chilis. Texas Roadhouse, Olive Garden all openin in the past 5 years, The Orchard just couldn't take it any longer.
The other mitigating factor could be that Black Bear Diner offered the Bacchetti family a sweet deal to sell their prime location. The exterior looks just like a model of a Black Bear Diner restaruant. I have no insider information that the family was bought out, however, I'm betting that they willingly quit the restaraunt business in lieu of some hefty dollars.
Despite the challending economy the City of Tracy is moving forward. Tracy is a great place to live. If you want to find out more about housing options in Tracy, give me a call I'd love to help.
