What?! Craigslist Actually Works?

Hey guys!

Just a quick blog posting to tell you that YES...Craigslist actually works!

I had a buyer call me about a listing I have in Littleton Colorado around the Ken Caryl area (Southwest Denver). He found the home from a posting on Craigslist that was put there by my listings coordinator, Baptista Evans. Baptista, refreshes my listings every few days or so and he just happened to find it and wanted to go see what this was all about.

I didn't want to get a lot of information from him at the time but I did find out what his motivation was, what price he was looking for, some contact info and we set up a time to go meet at the home.  When he arrived, my home wasn't exactly what he was looking for so, I went the extra mile.  I began telling him all about the other amazingly low-priced homes in the area and asked if he had time to see a couple.  He did and we set up some impromtu appointments.

After seeing the other homes and describing what I did for my buyers, he felt much more comfortable and I felt comfortable about setting the next appointment.  We went out the next day, Saturday, found the home he wanted, wrote an offer and by Monday were under contract!

So...for you skeptics out there wondering if Craigslist is just a waste of time; THINK AGAIN! You never know where your next buyer may come from...and in some cases...that "limiting belief" may cause you to lose a new client!
