You Have Got to Be Kidding! Agents Function This Way?
I received an offer from an agent the other day on a listing of mine. A very nice agent, I must add.
The agent gave me the paperwork all filled out by hand, which is fine, but then told me that since this was a Friday afternoon, and late in the afternoon, to please leave a voicemail at the office, and it would be picked up on Monday morning. I asked what the cell number was, and I would communicate as soon as I spoke with my clients. The answer was .....
Are you ready for this? ......................
"I do not have a cell."
I asked about email. To which the answer was ....
Are you ready for THIS? ..................
"I don't have a computer at home."
To which I stated that when back at the office on Saturday, it would be simple to check voicemail or email --- the answer was, "I don't go back in until Monday. This is my time."
Are there really agents in this day and age that function this way, or am I wrong to be working on the weekends? with a computer, blackberry, etc., etc. Do clients really respond to an agent who functions in this manner? Perhaps I should not bother with my websites, blogs, phones, emails, etc., etc., etc.......
Is this more common than I think it is?
