Fraud? How to prevent it and play it safe!

When it comes to frauds? Playing it safe is the only way and the best way to go!

It's always easy for any business to look legitimate and business like! If feel suspicious or you have any doubts about a particular business, you can contact your local better business bureau to verify the business!

Always retain your Bank and credit card statements and all receipts and always review/check them for accuracy!

Never ever click on a link inside your e-mail to visit a web site. Always type the e-mail address into your computer browser!

Only two percent (2%) of the reported Identity Theft/fraud happen or occurs through the Mail! If you're a victim of on line fraud or you know someone who's, please report online fraud to your local Attorney General and to the Federal Trade Commission at the following link; www.ftc.gov/complaint

And finally Shred, shred and shred any and all of your personal and confidential documents! Instead of simple discarding them in your trash container!

This is just FYI only!

Thanks.

Great information, you can never be to safe and take to many precautions. There are to many predators out there looking to just TAKE what you have worked very hard for.

Yes, there are so many scams out there.  Just received another one of those "my friend is stuck in England and needs me to wire them money right away" emails.  The lure of a fast buck is too much for some.

Trust only known sources.

Don't click on unknown links.

Shred. I own, get ready now, 4 shredders. Located in easy to use places all over the house. I'm lazy but not stupid. Shred.
