Independence Place is a $15.6 million apartment project set to serve needs of soldiers from the impending BRAC boom.  Building permits have been were issued for this development on 21 acres at Morganton and Reilly roads near Fort Bragg.

With the 300 apartments planned for this project, the  total number of units approved so far this year in Cumberland County to more than 1,500. This is more than twice the total for 2009. Sounds like it’s the beginning of a new housing boom.

It's always good to hear news of actual impending jobs in the construction industry, not to mention the support to the soldiers.
