FIFA World Cup Surprises With Countries To Host 2018 and 2022

It came as a surprise to many when FIFA announced the two countries that will be hosting the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cup. Russia was chosen to host the 2018 World Cup and Qatar was chosen for the 2022 World Cup. This is the first time for either country to be hosting the World Cup and it will be the first time in regards to Qatar, that an Arab country will be hosting the World Cup. A lot of FIFA fans thought that 2018 and 2022 were 'reserved' for USA and England (both countries with top soccer leagues). Some speculations have been made towards security and the safety issues that surround these two countries. Russia and Qatar were great choices for the World Cup though as they both have a lot of money to put into the event and is most likely the main reason why they were chosen.
