Get that house sold with fresh new carpet!
How many times do you have a client that wants to list their house but do not want to invest money in it. And how many of these houses are in dire need of updates such as new carpet due to the color or condition?
Well, in an effort to help agents get houses sold, I started a carpet program a few months back. Here is how it works. My company, Floor Coverings International, will re-carpet the entire house and the seller does not have to pay for the new carpet until the house is sold or for 90 days, which ever comes first. I have had a very good response to this offer from local Realtors, and it has helped them greatly. So far, knock on wood, we have not had a house make it to the 90 day mark!
I recently read an article where is stated that within the first 5 seconds a person walks into a home, they imediately notice the folowing 3 things in this order:
1 - the smell of the home
2 - the walls - color and paintings/pictures
3 - the floors
Having new and fresh carpet brings a whole new life to a house. It smells better, shows better and separates it from the rest of the inventory out there!
