My Kodak Moment-Tranquility and Love in Paradise
This is one of my favorite Kodak Moments with my husband. This picture sits on my desk to remind me to stop and smell the roses every so often. The year 2007 was a rough year on my family. My mother passed away in February from breast cancer, my grandmother passed away 3 months after my mom passed, and then my sister-in-law, and favorite aunt of my children, passed away a couple months later from brain cancer. Combine that with the fact that this was the year that the real estate market in our area started to downturn. I was having an extremely rough time getting my act back together again.
In steps my husband with the idea for a trip to Jamaica at a Sandal's Resort, and second honeymoon. This was not just any trip to a tropical location, this was a royal treatment trip complete with a private butler, and private courtyard with a pool and hot tub. Of course, there were cabana rentals and candlelight dinners on the beach too.
If you haven't been to Jamaica on vacation, you really need to think about it. They really don't keep to time schedules much down there. Everything is Ya Mon and Irie and no one is in a rush.
As you can see from the photo, I found my smile, tranquility, and fell in love all over again on a beach in Ocho Rios, Jamaica in December, 2007...... What a way to end the year!
