My Kodak Moment from Manhattan NYC & "The World Trade Towers" in 1982 by Robert (Vegas Bob) Swetz
I came across this old photograph taken from Ellis Island with New York City and the "The World Trade Towers" in the back ground. This photograph was taken around 1982 when I spent one week in Manhattan with John Robert Powers Modeling Agency, and I have no idea who this goofy looking guy is that jumped into the photograph.
This photograph was taken from a small print I found in a old photo album so it is very blurry, but you can get a feel for the moment.
I did go up to the observation deck of the the "The World Trade Towers" and the views of New York City were breath-taking. This was a very fun time in my life running around Manhattan, dancing at the disco night clubs, "Foot Loose and Fancy Free".
It was a time in my life when I thought America was indestructible & I never thought in a million years that the "World Trade Tower" would ever be destroyed by Terrorists.
The "World Trade Towers" will always be etched in my mind from this photograph and movies I have seen with The "World Trade Towers" in them. And having been back to NYC since 1982 I want to still "Imagine" the Towers still standing ... ;)
This is by far a "Kodak Moment" I will never forget and ... "God Bless America"
