December is a great time to review and rework your business plan, marketing strategies, and your budget to see what is and is not working in your business.

TIME TO LOOK AT THE 2010 BUSINESS PLAN.  MMMM.  TIME TO COOK UP A NEW AND EXCITING BUSINESS PLAN FOR 2011.

ARE YOU GOING TO ACT OR REACT to the market in 2011???

COOKIN' UP A NEW BUSINESS PLAN!

IT'S END-DECEMBER AGAIN - TIME TO REVIEW, REVISE MY 2010 BUSINESS PLAN. Lenn

TIME TO SCHEDULE SOME UPDATES TO THE 2010 MARKETING PLAN TOO.

Great timing by Ken Speer.  I'm in the midst of revising my business plan for 2011.

WHO PRODUCED?  I have a simple mathematical formula for grading referral agents.  I see who has produced.  I also see who has not produced.  The key to reviewing referral agents production is understanding their individual market, location, price range, home buyer programs, etc.

Quality referral agents are hard to come by and I value each and every one who succeeded in selling my buyer referrals in 2010.

COOKIN' UP A NEW MARKETING PLAN!Lenn

It's end December and I do this every year and have for 20 years.  Before that, I worked for mega brokers and followed THEIR PLANS FOR ME.

I like my plans better.

MAKIN' A PLAN AND CHECKIN' IT TWICE!

STOP SUBSCRIPTIONS to paid inclusion that aren't producing.  I have already discontinued subscriptions to resources that did not produce tangible results in 2010.  I have several more to review and it's likely that more will fall.  The criteria are simple.  Did that subscription result in buyer contacts or Google juice?  If not. . . . GONE!  If it did, the subscription may be EXPANDED

TIP!  DON'T FALL FOR THAT:  "IT TAKES ABOUT 6 MONTHS". . . . . is nonsense.  DON'T subscribe (fall for) to the sales advice from vendors that "You have to have it online for blah, blah, blah long before it will produce".  IMO, that is nonsense.  Yes, I want instant gratification- - like the almost instant Google SERP when I post an article to my ActiveRain blog about a community or local vendor.  Google doesn't take 6 months of charges to my credit card to spider/index/produce a web-site or blog post in a Google SERP.

EVALUATE THE CONTENT ON SUBSCRIPTION WEB PAGES.  One of my favorite subscription resources for Buyersmany years was recently dropped because the owner went to ghost written (canned) content for the scribers' individual pages.  This gentleman is one of the most savvy site owners I have ever known.  Sadly, the content on my subscribed pages were no longer relevant to my market.  Subscriptions discontinued.

When you subscribe to another site owner's web site, you're not the only viewer.  The public views the content too.  If the content doesn't reflect my market and my company, it won't produce.

GET BUSY!  REVIEW YOUR BUSINESS PLAN and YOUR MARKETING PLAN FOR 2010, UPDATE IT, REVISE IT AND THEN. . . .

Get up every morning and GO TO WORK, even if it's just 15 feet to your home office.
