According to the Round Lake Area Park District website "In July of 2005, the Robert W. Rolek Community Center was renamed to honor the memory of Robert W. Rolek, Executive Director from July 7, 1980 - July 31, 1995. Through his vision and determination, this district has developed into one of the most progressive and reputable agencies in the state. Bob loved the Round Lake Area and was single-minded in his goal of creating a park district that would be a source of joy and pride to its residents for years to come.
Today, the Robert W. Rolek Community Center serves as headquarters for the administration of the district and is home to several of its programs. The facility contains:
- An 11-room Child Development Center
- Gymnasium
- Dance studio
- Senior center
- Two meeting rooms
- A large 2,700 square foot multipurpose room"

School's out for the Holiday break so come join us at our Children's Neighborhood Museum New Year Celebration! There will be games, prizes, food and a whole lot of hootin' going on!
