Aga Khan is quoted (and excerpted) as having said, "Encounters. When two people meet. Or two particles. Or two cultures ...... The result of an encounter between two people or between two cultures is shaped by the assumptions of each, by their respective goals..."
As we survey the business landscape for the coming year, and contrasting it against the year past looking for a marketing plan that augers success at the levels for which we are striving. Are we looking only in the areas where we feel confident and safe. Will we take the challenge to push into cycles, areas and demographics that we have not sought before?
Cultural diversity in our practice adds another side benefit. When we work with cultures which are not fully known to us, we expand our levels of knowledge, tolerance and achievement. Since many cultures are based on and surrounded by food ... we may also expand our appreciation of the gastronomic delights of the otherwise unknown!
