Our next chapter in Facebook For Dummies: "Adding Your Own Face To Facebook", takes us through how to set up your Facebook account, set up your profile, and add your photo.  Now, even I can figure this out.

A couple of things I did pick up from this chapter are 1. You Are NEVER Too Old For Facebook.  Ok, I feel better now.  And, 2. they really do seem to have a lot of security measures in place.  Gee, that's comforting.

Seriously, though, for those of you who still struggle with this stuff, as I do, when you are setting up your profile, make very certain that you check off all the boxes that pertain to you, as far as who can see you and your profile.  Most people say that they will allow only friends to see their profile or view their wall.  This is a smart move, IMHO, simply because you have to accept anyone who requests to be your FB friend, so this way, you know who will be seeing your posts.

So, inasmuch as I still feel like a Facebook Dummy, the book has not captured my undivided attention just yet.  The next chapter starts helping you find your way around.  Maybe this will be where I am captured.

See you next time.....

When it comes to Facebook, I’m definitely a dum-dum. I’ll have to read this series you have going.
