Youth Basketball in the Columbia Gorge

Yesterday brought the first game in youth basketball in the Columbia Gorge. Our son, Ben, and his Parkdale team won their game with a score of 22 to 6. The team has just six players, which meant the kids played most of the game. We were so proud of them. Kids we hadn't seen play yet impressed us and our own son pulled off some impressive plays. He also proved to be a great on defense, drawing on his obvious football skills maybe a bit too much. Games are every Saturday, through mid-March. The team practices two additional nights a week.
