My Real Estate is Local

By
Real Estate Agent with Charles Rutenberg Realty BK645994

I was speaking with another agent the other day from San Diego. He is referring a family member to me here in Orlando. Like a lot of my business these days, he found me on the internet and checked out what my other customers have said about me on Yelp. I often receive phone calls or e-mails regarding referrals in Florida. Most come from one source or another on the internet, and many are out my area. One gentleman the other day was not sure if I could sell homes in the surrounding counties, but I assured him my license is good across the state, but that does not mean I am the best agent for him outside of the Orlando area.

Orlando is in Central Florida which covers a pretty good sized area, but as you go from one county to the next the market can change a great deal. I know agents that will go anywhere to sell a home, but I prefer to stay a little closer to home. Maybe I could make more money if I worked further out, but I am not convinced of it. I am pretty sure I can do a better job for my customers when I stick the areas I know best. This leads to more referrals and great reviews on sites like Yelp. It is just my opinion, but real estate is local and I feel like a I do a better job for my customers by keeping it that way. I am sure I will get some comments about this. I would love to hear them.

Good to see the blogging is generating leads.  Metro Orlando is so big that it is best to refer out leads that a far away.  Our office has created teams that work the different counties.

David,

I have quite a few different projects throughout Ontario. But, in just about all cases, I am working with a local realtor unless I am close to home.
