What a great 'Man" he was.

Yes President Regan would have been 100 years old. That is a long time. He was a strong, honorable President, and a great man as well.

Back in 1992 he spoke in Charlotte, North Carolina. The building that he spoke in (then, Nation's Bank Building-tallest building in the Southeast) was home to the Restaurant that I managed- Bistro 100. President Regan and his staff were housed in our restaurant before he went out on stage. He was such a nice man. He joked around with all of us (management in secured off dining room and took pictures with us as well) Before he left to go on stage, he joined in with the wait staff to listen to our pre-shift lunch meeting where staff would learn about specials. This was completely un-staged and you can imagine, incredible. One of those moments you will remember forever.

Although I voted for him in 1980 and 1984, I was ashamed of his tax cuts for the rich, as well as tripling the federal deficit. Seems too many conservatives don’t want to remember those things, not to mention that he refused to recognize the AIDS crisis or even say the word “gay” – I think he was still angry at his gay son.
