While in the midst of a record breaking winter with snow everywhere and a severe rain storm flooding the streets this morning, an old but necessary chore was needed.I have just returned from several hours of cleaning ice from storm drains and catch basins.There is a few spots in our town that flood and make the road impassable.The ice was broken up and cleared away and at the same timewe were digging out those basins we also cleaned hydrants that were still snowed in.That was my super way of celebrating the big game and giving back at the same time.Don't forget to clean the hydrants near your home,the Fire dept.will thank you.
