With todays economic crisis, there is a stockpile of abandoned, forclosed, bank repossessed or poor performing apartment complexes that could provide decent housing to low income families in desperate need of housing. Juts how desperate is the need for housing for low income families?

Is there available housing to accomodate such families? www.loopnet.com has over 780,000 properties for sale and many of these are apartment complexes. One example was of an apartment complex with 224 units that was on sale in 2008 for $2,200,000 that went down in 2009 to $1,500.000. Today, because of the present state of the economy, they are presently on sale for just $700,000! These apartments could provide decent housing for 224 families!
Because situations like this in Georgia are taking place all over the world, the bottom line is as follows:
- Apartment owners need money to gentrify their poor performing apartments and to receive a steady return on investment. They also want tenants who will respect their property.
- Low income families who qualify for section 8 or government subsidy to pay their rent need decent housing free of life threatening health, safety and sanitation issues.
Because both parties have what the other needs, how do you connect the 2 so EVERYBODY WINS?
